The Triple Goddess

This is a group to honour the Great Goddess in all of Her many aspects, and by myriad Names, as Maiden, Mother and Crone.

To reconnect with the Divine Feminine - the Goddess archetype and Her three faces, is vitally important in order to restore the essential Balance that humankind has been struggling without for the last couple of thousand years.

Laziness and apathy have no place in the Mystery. At least that's how I see it. I don't know if anyone would care to agree?

All the pains and pleasures we experience in a lifetime are of our own making, and not of the Goddess'.

Lady Asherah of the Trees is the Jewish Goddess I love so much.In former times, SHE was also called by the Name of Ishtar and Inanna.

Then, the memory of the Goddess' sacred marriage to El was forgotten, and all of the sacred groves of trees and the High Places, or Temples of Love, were cut down and razed to the ground.

Nothing can discontinue the worship of the Goddess of Heaven, though, as nothing can defeat Lilith, Goddess of Death and the Underworld, either.

Even trees that are chopped down to the ground, always grow back. It's just one of those things.

The Black Virgin is the Christian Goddess I love so much. Actually, one has only to look as far back as The Queen of Sheba, Allat, Black Isis and Kali, the Black Goddess, to discover just what a small world and almighty universe there is about and within of us all and how interconnected we all are..

Here's to an end to petty small mindedness and discrimination based on superficial "diferences", and a return to "Nothing is above anything else", then?

"There must be a balance of male(Osiris) and female(Isis) , positive and negative, active and receptive, within each mind for creative purposes.

There are certain types of controlling people who do not want this knowledge to be revealed, who wage wars on physical and mental levels to keep this creative energy from being used.

....The wisdom of seeing the truth keeps this balance, even if we are plagued by outside interference."

Tanith is the ancient Moon Goddess of Phoenicia. The Goddess is usually represented by these glyphs. Tanith was the Phoenician equivalent of Lady Asherah; and it is certain that Queen Jezebel of the Israelites was the virtual representative of Tanit as the Queen ruled over a dual kingdom for over 30 years despite the pressure from the members of the Cult of Jahweh.

"Some of the most remarkable and beautiful of early man's works of art are his figures of women.

They are not portraits, but impersonal characterisations of female fertility, of woman as the vessel of life, with pregnant womb and swelling breasts."

"In the time of Aradia, many peasant slaves had escaped into the hills and forests.

These people gathered into bands of outlaws in order to survive.

Aradia sought them out, living with them for a period of time in the woodland camps near Lake Nemi.

There she listened to the plight of her people. Many suffered persecution from the church because they had worshipped in the Old Ways.

"The Tao is the good man's treasure,

    the bad man's refuge"

    ~Laozi

Others were made slaves by the evil lords who held power in the land..

    "Those who try to control,

who use force to protect their power,

go against the direction of the Tao.

They take from those who don't have enough,

    and give to those

    who have far too much"

    ~Laozi

Among these outlaws, Aradia came to know many witches who were also in hiding.

In time, Aradia went down into the villages and towns in order to give hope to the people. She taught them, saying ~

    "Blessed be the free.

Blessed be they who rejoice in truth and love,

and seek not to maintain misguided teachings.

Know that the Spirit is upon you all,

    and that spirit, is Love.

Love punishes not, neither a day nor an eternity.

Do not lend yourselves to teachings of fear and restriction.

Blessed be the free in spirit, for their kingdom is of both worlds.

These are the children of the Earth,

who neither hate nor teach hate,

fear nor teach fear, restrict nor teach restriction.

These same are the children of Spirit."

I have posted a video which wasn't very easy or pleasant to compile, entitled "Talk With the Animals Too". It really brought home to me the fact that human beings are their own worst enemies. In the course of researching quotes for the video, I came across this passage in Isis Unveiled, the standard tome for a priestess and highly recommended reading if one is at all curious as to what lies behind the veil. Written a while ago, the books contain a treasure of metaphysical and esoteric information which is timeless in the sense that it is forever relevant.

"Now, people assume that there can be no apes in the other world, because apes have no "souls"

    But apes have as much intelligence, it appears, as some men;

why then, should these men, in no way superior to the apes, have immortal spirits, and the apes none?"

Blessed Be, and wishing you and everyone here - all of our Goddess Kin, a very merry weekend(and holidays-yay!!!)

"The Mother of all creation has no need to be thought of as the only One; She too has her consort and companion. Every part of Her creation is brought into being and affected by the male/female, positive/negative, active/receptive,yin/yang.

Her way is of balanced living,of peaceful co-existence, of equality between sexes and races.

However, the Great Mother of all must once again have equal billing in the spiritual community"

    - Deanna.J Conway

Hi, all - and a warm Goddessian welcome to new initiates into our group. Wishing everyone a nice 'day after' :)

You know, after reading the quotation above, it honestly irks me that at this stage in our herstory, the Goddess is still not given equality. Why not?

It's up to us to make it better, though, as we are the agents for change in our generation. Strength to you all in the creating of a beautiful future for our children.

'There seems to be no questions asked as to how you can kiss a skull's feet :

in the old days it was said that when the God was not present, he was represented by a skull and crossbones (Death and what lies beyond, or paradise and regeneration). Can it perhaps be explained by some rite resembling the witches' practice :

Nowadays this is symbolized by the High Priestess, standing with her arms crossed to represent the skull and crossbones. The worshipper kisses her feet, saying a sort of prayer beginning with, 'Blessed be...'

"Our opponent's aim is ever to prevent man and woman from loving, thinking everything that helps or even permits them to love is wicked and vile.

    To us, it is natural,

and if it aids the Great Work it is good"

    - Gerald Gardner

"We may appreciate the statement made in the Tantras that

'by that which men fall, by that they rise'

Modern Psychology has unmasked the puritan and the prude.

It remains for us to find the way of true harmony and happiness in natural things"

This is a song by a group called 'acid bath', entitled, of all things,

    'Pagan Love Song'

Now do you see the opponents old Gerald was referring to, in action?

Dying felt so goddamn good today
If I was ever alive well it's hard to say
It was kissing my eyelids and burning my face away
Dying felt so goddamn good today
We dance the electric Pagan Love Song
We hunt with the children paling in the catacombs
Eating dead flowers bleeding in a strange daze
I was cutting throats and eating tears
    Smiling in a ruined age
Douse my love everything with gasoline
Grave flower blooms at your red light death scene
We dance the electric Pagan Love Song
We hunt with the children paling in the catacombs
Trippin' on real blood in strange sunshine
Have you felt such weight upon your eyes
Sister I been trippin' in your sky
I woke up adrift in a Technicolor bliss
    Ten million miles high
I'm a Christian zombie by daylight
Satan, he come trippin' 'round midnight
    Circle jerkin' redneck truckers' dream
    You scream, I scream
    Everybody screams for morphine
I won't love you, mama, I just fiend your morphine... your morphine
we send, the love, to the skull
I am the mother, the father, the killer
    Forever and ever all right
I am the shapeless, the deathless, remorseless
    Forever and ever tonight
    I'm feelin' hollow again
I am the mother, the father, the killer of light
I'm gonna cut you motherfucker, God's cocksucker
    all righ
    t

Initially I didn't want to post it here in our sacred group, however, to have knowledge of your opponent is a wonderful thing.

A Pagan Love Song is very different to these words and the sentiment and feeling behind them. Well, at least Pagan as per more or less this definition, that is:

So, don't let anyone tell you that because you love the Goddess, you are a Satanic devil-worshipper, then.

Traditionally, Lady Asherah was venerated at this time. The oval wreath was to be placed above the pyramidal sacred tree, to denote fertility in abundance.

Tanit is the Phoenician Asherah; as Asherah is Inanna and Ishtar.

This symbol represents the Goddess, as the X replaces the pyramid to represent the God of Nature.

The Trees are sacred to the Great Mother, and the Tree of Life can be decorated to one's very own liking!

No dualism, for example, a winding tinsel serpent wrapped around the trunk in a spiral, reaching up above the crown; Goddesses on every limb and twig,

and within and without of the silver and golden orbs hanging on the ever-green  snow-crystal covered branches.

    Blessed Be )O(

What a beautiful video! Thank you for sharing Zephonith Nadia Knight.

As for the Pagan Love Song you posted below....to truly know oneself means you have no fear of anything that may be directed in our way.  As I know myself, and my love for all beings, I fear no words a mere human may direct my way.

I am blessed to be among beautiful loving compassionate souls here and we are who we are.

I am no religion and I am no gender. I just am.

    Love to one and all.
