Any purpose is better than none. I believe everything in nature is good for something. An ecosystem is just that... A system. So everything works for everything else. If not then the system breaks down and we all die.

Latin name: Lycoris squamigera
Family: Amaryllidaceae (Amaryllis Family)

I do not know of any medicinal aspects of the Resurrection Lily, but it is toxic. If in desperation for a starch for consumption, you can cook the tuber. I suggest that if you come to this situation know that you must boil the tuber and rinse three times before it is edible. Thanks, Classic for the question.

What is Resurrection Lily good for? I have a bunch of it outside. It must serve a purpose in order to stay or it goes somewhere else.
