The Tower 16 - My Personal Tarot Journey

16 - The Tower

Look familiar ? Almost everyone of us at some point during our dreams has felt this experience...FALLING !

"WAKE UP ! WAKE UP ! WAKE UP !"

Remember that "thud" at the end of the dream which felt like a 'shock' through your system? Kinda like our lighting bolt here:

....that's the Tower card. One minute you're at the top of the tower, enjoying the view..the next minute...just sneaker and sky in your headlights !

The Tower card (# 16) is not always what it seems. Let's look again at our photo:

We see a person who appears to be falling from the tall building in the background. His left hand is reaching out towards the building in a state of desperation. From the looks of it, he probably won't land very well... ~SPLAT !~ This is the main theme for the Tower:  a sudden change in your life that will cause temporary chaos and upheaval...like falling from a 50 story building ! This card also has a helpful side to it.

To understand this point, one must ask the question: "Why do we dream of falling anyway?"

Listen to how someone on the web put it:

"Well think about how you feel when you trip [fall] in real life. Basically when you lose balance, your brain all of a sudden sends out to all neurons in the body...

...to jerk in reaction to whats going on so you wont get too hurt...

...all of that in like a fraction of a second. When your mind tells your body to do that when you're dreaming, your outside body reacts and your dream can't handle it."Jai K.

Makes sense, right? It's like a built in defense reaction. It wakes you from your nightmare with a good 'ol fashion ~ZAP~ before things get out of hand in dreamland. So goes in real life with the Tower card.

Think of the man as not falling, but as "escaping a soon to be dire situation", whereas then his guardian angel would swoop right in...

and catch him in time before the landing...

Guardian Angel

...because the man had listened to his Guide's voice to "Leap as the Fool" (armed with forewarning)...

Dire situation

....good thing, too, 'cause there wasn't much time to explain...~BOOM !~

__________________________________________________________

When we see the Tower card we need to ask the question, "Has this happened yet?", because if it hasn't...

"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"...

...meaning that it is better to avoid some situations all-together,  rather than evoking the "wait-and-see" approach !!! Learn to trust your inner voice and get the hell-outta-Dodge !
