Loud Noises

The very sound of the city lives in my bones. It clutters the mind. I think how unnatural this life is. Even the signature sounds of the world have changed. Primitive man was flooded with the sounds of the natural world. Today, two thirds of the nature and wildlife that our ancestors coexisted with has been wiped out of existence.  When one steps outside and closes their eyes while inhaling a deep breath of the polluted air and listens to the ambient din enveloping them, they become flooded with the noises of industrialization and the controlled explosions of combustion engines. We have replaced the sound of nature with the mechanized hum of modernization. In the modern era, the world has traded its cultural identities for an uniform global design. The bad thing about this is that the mood becomes collective. When an ominous atmosphere sweeps in, entire regions fall under its sway. This leads us to what quantum physics has identified as subtle energies. Subtle energies work as such: more people means more combustion engines, which means more congested roads riddled with potholes with more traffic, which means more noise that gets everything vibrating faster and leads to more road rage incidents in America than anywhere else in the world four times over. Our consciousness vibrates. Everything that vibrates in a repetitive sequence has a pulse. Even noise, especially chaotic noise, has a pulse. Pulses effect the atomic matter inside of us at a molecular level every minute of everyday. We have been evolving accordingly to these patterns of sound in our environment since the dawn of civilization, or at least since the dawn of agriculture. Popular scientific opinion places this development around eight to nine thousand years ago. Nine thousand years we have been suffering this racket. As bad as this is, one must take into account that noise pollution has grown exponentially alongside the industrial era. It has thrived like a bacteria in optimum conditions. Not to mention there is a billion times more people making more noise. We are just recently reaching new plateaus of understanding in the various fields of genetics. We now know that how our senses perceive our environment plays a large role in the process that manipulates the information encoded in our DNA. Subtle energy builds. 2012 is not about an end; it is about a beginning. If it will be for better or for worse is yet to be seen.
