Finding a Simple Sentence in the Cards

Tarot readings need not be long and elaborate to pack a punch. Sometimes we can remember and therefore learn more from the tighter tidbits we pull through them.

You can narrow cards down to their bare essence with the very bascs of their message and take from them some profound personal insights.

SAMPLE

Let's try a spread that explores despair.

Are you feeling"despair" somewhere in your life?

Let's see where we can find hope in the middle of the rubble.

Let's take 3 tarot cards and whittle them down into one sentence.

Our Question:

How can I find hope?

1) When this happens

2) Then try this

3) To achieve this

SAMPLE READING

I used Le Tarot des Femmes Erotiques, or The Vintage Erotica Tarot, by Claire Marie-Lenormand, a deck of exquisite vintage nudes that honors tarot's traditional messages. I find this a beautiful and delightful deck to read and will be writing a full review on it soon. I was surprised by the depth of its messages.

The 5 of Swords (Defeat of the Mind)

8 of Pentacles (Apprenticeship)

and 10 of Pentacles (Wealth Forever).

1) When this happens.... (5 of Swords), "Defeat of the Mind"

The creator of this deck wrote of this card:

She leans her weary body against a pillar, while smoke from the incense fills the air around her. She can go no farther. This card encourages us to endure defeat with courage and patience. This particular defeat is fated, to be waited out and perhaps someday embraced as a lesson in the limitation of conscious thoughts.

So this suggests, "WHEN YOU FEEL DEFEATED...."

2) TRY THIS.... (8 of Pentacles), "Apprenticeship"

Two women on a bed, one instructing the other from a book of lore. This card indicates a time of learning about learning, where the true craft is obtained, where great intelligence is brought to the world of money and work.

So this card suggests: "BE WITH PEOPLE WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED, AND LEARN FROM THEM."

3) TO ACHIEVE THIS... (10 of Pentacles) "Wealth Forever"

A ladies maid dresses her young woman, who looks directly at us. She is sure of her future. Think of this card as promising the protection of a five-sided windowless tower. Your family’s wealth is protected.

So this card suggests:

"...TO FIND PERSONAL PROTECTION & ABUNDANCE."

Put all 3 together and we get this sentence:

"When you feel defeated,

be with people who have experienced it and learn from them,

and you will find personal protection and abundance."
