   Ever "almost" start a project ? You know...you get an idea about something, get really excited about it, and then....'FIZZLE' ! You give up before you even started because you just didn't think you were good enough to carry it out ! That my dear friends is negative thinking...and it's a POISON !!

   How do you know for sure you would fail ? I read Tarot cards and even I can't see the future, only a VERY CHANGEABLE "snap-shot" of the current variables offered. Does this stop me from living my life not KNOWING what tomorrow may bring for me unless I have a pre-warning about what's gonna happen? NO !

   There is a reason the 2nd card in the Major Arcana is the Magician card (right after the Fool). There's also a reason the Fool is numbered "Zero" and the Magician is "One". The Fool is us just as we are about to start our adventure in something, whether it be in motherhood, our career, higher education...whatever. We are at the "idea" of the venture. Nothing has happened yet, just the direction set for where we want to pursue.

   When we look at the Magician as the "ONE (1)" card, we have taken a step of actually "Doing" something in regards to our path. Let's look at at a good example:

   Here the Magician is conjuring the elements fourth to do his bidding. Notice the posture he is presenting...positive...strong...self-assured...in control. This is the heart of the card: Self-belief 

   There was no step to "think" about if the Fool was unsure or not. Nor a card of self-doubt. Rubbish ! The Fool transformed into the Magician the moment she "BELIEVED" in herself...and then tried !! There wasn't time to question failure...only action was needed. 

Julie's painting has that "Magician's Stare" of self-belief. This is the same attitude we should take on when attempting something in life we know we probably could achieve, but may have "cold feet" about.

BE STRONG ! BE CERTAIN OF YOURSELF !

AND PUT ON "THE MAGICIAN'S STARE" OF BELIEF IN SELF !
