The following poem was written as a Photo Challenge in one of my old MySpace poetry groups. I could not find the picture online, so what I've done here is take a picture of the black & white printout that I had in my files. I'm sorry the quality isn't very good...but hopefully, you can see the subject matter. On Thursday, I sat
Beneath an Oak Tree
And remembered my Fathers.
They found pathways to
Wisdom now lost to Antiquity
If I sing to them their own song,
Will they teach me
