My grandmother died the other day. I wasn't close to her, and in reality, I'm not sure she ever cared about me. I was too different- thirsty for knowledge, angry at injustice, accepting of people who weren't like me and like her. I also am the child of her daughter, who was run off at age fourteen and barely tolerated for daring to want a better life that Her death opens up a can of worms for me. About 7 years ago, I was working on the weekends as a building attendant/docent for a local heritage center that included a cemetery and a de-sanctified Carpenter Gothic Church. It was a quite often solitary job, but I learned to appreciate the solitude and the place in ways I never could have imagined. Monday evening, my cell phone rang. Glancing at the screen, I knew it was my friend T. I was expecting a lighthearted chat or to hear her vent about her husband. When her voice came over the line, I was shocked. She was asking me to take her to the hospital, and she sounded bad. - I'm terribly interested in spirituality and how it affects and effects people. I also like to connect with people who are attuned to and exploring their spiritual lives.

- I'm a married mother of two. Currently, I'm staying home with the kids and working on starting a business. I spend a great deal of my free time writing about spirituality and creating things. My life long interest in religions, cultures and folk lore led me to study Anthropology in college.
I read- a lot (so much that book collection is taking over). I also love crafts, especially those that have a spiritual bend. - I am inspired by mythology, folk lore and art- I have spent a great deal of time reading stories from all over the world.
As far as my views about spirituality go, William James has been a huge influence. I am also strongly drawn to Celtic folklore and shamanism.
My sons are also my most frequent teachers.

- My goals are often transient, depending largely upon the time and conditions surrounding me. Currently, I am beginning to lay the groundwork for opening a spiritual center.
Sometimes, I am the student; Other times, I am a teacher or a messenger. A psychic once told me I was a healer, not of bodies but of souls. I also call myself a cauldron keeper.

- I love lots of different types of music- Cyndi Lauper is amazing. Loreena McKennitt is hauntingly beautiful. I like Bruce Springsteen's highly political music and you can often here classical music in my home. I also have this bizarre attraction to cover music.

- Stardust, Supernatural, Sleeping Beauty, The Brothers Grimm, Doctor Who, Howl's Moving Castle, and Naussica are all favorites.
