Thirsting for knowledge from those who possess it.
About Myself and My interests
I am an Anthropology student with an interest in Linguistics and Philosophy. I also dabble in the arts and currently work in a photography studio as a make-up artist. In my spare time, I blog about dating and relationships from a physiological and sociological standpoint.
My Teachers and Influences
Anyone who possesses knowledge. I believe it's possible to learn something new from every encounter.
Working toward a Masters, possibly a Doctorate, in Anthropology in hopes of spending my life studying and researching humanity in all of its aspects and forms. I'm a newly returned student, so my goals are a bit lofty, but still achievable because I will them to be.
Authors and/or Books I appreciate
Prometheus Rising- Robert Anton Wilson
The Agony and the Ecstasy- Irving Stone
Anna Karenina- Leo Tolstoy
Eugene Onegin- Pushkin
Oscar Wilde, WIlliam Blake, HL Mencken, Victor Hugo
Music I appreciate
Anything that moves me.
Movies and TV shows I appreciate
I am woefully indiscriminate when it comes to movies. I'll watch just about anything to entertain myself, as long as it has a finite story line. Thus, I'm not a huge fan of television.
You're most welcome Lisa, always a pleasure to welcome a new friend to the Temple, especially another reader of Robert Anton Wilson. I call him the 'patron saint' of the Temple since he inspired the name from 'Illuminatus Trilogy' the first book of his I read, much battered, and signed by him when we met after a lecture he gave many years ago.
It takes time for most people to get used to a new webspace and there is lots to see and do here! I recommend you take your time and explore all the different areas of the Temple. If you have any questions or concerns of any nature, please feel free to contact me at any time or visit our Support Group for info & assistance. Live in Love ~ Leila Raven ~ The Temple
