Life w/ Nature on the Yellowstone River

As most of you probably know we had an oil spill courtesy of Exxon in the Yellowstone River over a month ago. I was blessed to be situated where I had no damage except to some foliage along the riverbank. My well is OK and the water I irrigate with is OK also, thank you Creator!! I must admit (being anti-big corporation, esp. big oil) that Exxon has been extremely careful w/ this clean up all up and down the river, all the personnel from the Response team have been super nice - Coast Guard,…

As I sit here watching the swollen Yellowstone R. flow past my backyard, I am amazed once again by the power of nature and how hard we, mere humans keep trying to tame her...... we have floods here and I watch fully grown trees float by w/ a full root system attached! I'm SO grateful I'm higher up on the bank & won't be flooded out...... and our spring mountain thaw (snow) hasn't even begun!! It's gonna be a wet sumer I think!! I've been off the site most of January,& trying to get caught up now. I made some dietary changes for the new year & they seem to be resulting in some positive changes for me energy wise. I'm hoping I'll be able to be around a bit more in months to come. :)
It's always wonderful to hear how you & the sweet chicks are doing.
