Why I wish to join The Temple & how I found out about it...
Knowledge: I have an intense thirst for it and have spent most of my life in pursuit of it, especially the esoteric and ancient knowledge. I am extremely gifted and have acquired much knowledge already including a proclivity for languages and cultures. I am an eclectic personality and tend to gather a following wherever I go.....my professional background has been in advertising, sales and politics (mostly behind the scenes). I passed the MENSA test at age 17 while in my freshman year at Junior College in Connecticut , though I declined membership. There is much more, including a trip to the United Nations as a delegate to the Dominican Republic for the Human Rights Commission ( also whilst at college)...... Beyond this I must digress because I tend to be a bit verbose and there is a lot to tell. I tend to stay below the radar as I like my privacy. And I was referred to this website through a mutual friend. Please let me know if you would like to know more..
Sincerest thanks for your consideration in this matter and I look forward to a long and mutually beneficial association.

About Myself & My Interests..
This is always the hardest part.... (Talking about myself) Well,I suppose I should begin at the beginning: I was the only progeny to come from the union of my parents. My father comes from good Virginia stock, my mother not so much. I was precocious as a child and taught myself to play piano at age 3. I attended D.A.R. school at age nine where I mastered the classics; Beethoven,Bach,Chopin, Stravinsky, Strauss and Wagner. I also excelled at a academics and since it is a private school I was able to work up to my level (after I went home in the beginning of the school year and did the entire years work from each of my 6 classes because I was bored) and consistently earned top marks. At age 11 through another boarding school I was invited (myself & 3 other gifted children) to play alongside the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and had my first taste of Beluga caviar ( which I pretended to enjoy!) Later that year my mother became I'll and was hospitalized, unfortunately before paying her home owner's insurance for that month, and sometime during our absence our home was burglarized and set on fire. We lost everything...... After that life changed, no more trips to Venezuela, Mexico, Jamaica, et al . No more piano or lessens. Later ( in 7th grade) I switched to clarinet and of course I still kept up my academics but now I was in public school. By 8th grade I made 1st chair alto clarinet but could fill in any gaps that our music teacher needed ( I was a pitch hitter for bass clarinet, alto sax and other instruments. Majorette in tenth. Also I was on the track, basketball and volleyball teams for various years starting in grade through graduation. I graduated from Moanaloa high school top 3 in my class and had the best SAT scores that anyone at that school had achieved in the previous 10 years. I became involved with politics ( or should I say also enamored with) at the age of 7 when I went campaigning for my favourite President elect ( even posting his sticker over the Democratic hopeful) of course I did not know at that time this was bad form but it did achieve the desired effect I hoped for..... I graduated a full year ahead of my class and was voted most likely to succeed. Dean's year my first semester .... I started modeling occasionally from age 16 ( Spaulding sportswear) and later Frederick's of Hollywood but gave it up so as not to damage any political aspirations I might have but also because I had a dual major with Comparative Politics and Psychology and was about 8 months from graduating when my husband disappeared with my college funds, and the first part of my inheritance ( 21 Currier and Yves lithographs in their original rice paper, 5 Rockwell First edition plates, my waterbed etched in 18k gold and signed by the artist himself, before his art hung in the Louvre in Paris so it was one of a kind piece and finally my clarinet which had been handed down 5 generation's, firstborn to firstborn. My clarinet was 1 of only 1,000 made out of wood with silver struts and velvet keypad, by the Pan American Clarinet Corporation before the dye was destroyed, and the company sold. It was appraised in 1980 for over $500,000 and is comparable to the Stradivarius. I have since owned 3 businesses, padded the pockets of a 2nd husband and was indoctrinated into the Poetry Hall of fame, and nominated Poet Laureate by Maya Angelou and Vincent Price! I have had some wondrous adventures including flying planes ( co-piloting a 747 & a 767) solo.... Racing cars off-road, I am an expert marksman with just about any firearm ( and I love them). I love the outdoors,I love the hunt but only kill what I can eat ! I am happiest when close to nature especially the sea. I also sing starting in first grade and have been offered several musical contracts but had declined because I saw my life going in a different direction from where I landed. I am as comfortable in an evening gown as I am in the ocean. I can wear many hats, incognito is my fav.
My Teachers & Influences, What was it about them that influenced me?
I would have to say Miss Emily Holt whom challenged me to write, and entered my work in my first interstate championship in 6th grade, and Mrs. Lundgren my 4th grade teacher who helped me become a star and find myself, in my first play! Also, Mr Hightower my 4th grade trigonometry teacher who allowed me to be his assistant and show the 9th graders a few things... And then Mr. Tichenor my 7th grade science teacher who allowed me to experiment and test cause and effect through chemical interactions!! He let me discover my inner Madame Curie and doctor Jekyll!!! And finally, Mrs. Pouncy who picked up where Mr. Tichenor left off !!! Really, all my teachers were great, except 3 who were in their own worlds and way too strange! But these were the creme de la creme!!!!
Authors and/or Books I appreciate
Hemingway's Island in the stream, I am a big Stephen King fan but when I was in school I really loved Fyodor Dostoyevsky's Crime and punishment! Of course all the classics like Alice in Wonderland, Moby Dick, Shakespeare (without a doubt) all of his assorted works; having been in drama since 4th grade, ( in fact one of my fat quotes is from King Lear; "Oh how sharper than a serpent's tooth is to have a thankless child!!)
Musicians and/or Music I appreciate
Well I grew up with the classics as I mentioned previously due to my musical ideations but in everyday settings I like to listen to rock I particularly liked Simon & Garfunkel, the Beatles of course, later John Lennon & Elton John, then I progressed from there to harder rock ( it all depends on my mood really) but Springsteen never gets tired, my largest are Ever clear, Green day, Slipknot, Sound garden, System of a down, Incubus, Megadeth but my all-tyme favourite is Stevie Nicks!!
Films and/or Film-Makers & Actors I appreciate
Well to be honest I only like the genres of Horror, Sci-Fi, Action, and thrillers....... I try to avoid those drama of the week shows, and love stories ( gag me, never realistic) so Brahma Stoker's Dracula circa 1992 was awesome and I also liked 2014's version: Dracula Untold because it portrayed him in more of a historically appropriate venue and from a more human perspective, I loved 2010's Prince of Persia, it satisfied nearly all requisites, and of course the Hobbit series of films, my favourite character of course was Gandalf the white..... My fav actors for attractiveness are Jake Gyllenhaal - Dastan, Luke Evans- Vlad lll, Oder Fehr- the Mummy, Brendan Frasier, Antonio Banderas.... Now for skill I am impressed by Morgan Freeman is stellar in any role, some other films I liked are We were soldiers, Full metal jacket can never be touched, Seal Team Six, American Sniper ( more recently), really I am not being fair because there are a plethora that I am not giving credit too simply because it would take too long. Wesley Snipes, Denzel Washington, Ben Affleck, Nicole Kidman, Clint Eastwood - another stellar classic, Nicholas Cage,Taylor Lautner, Kellan Lutz, Peter Facinelli, Rachel Weiss..... All great actors and many more I don't recall offhand.
Artists and/or Art I appreciate
Monet ( hands down) but I also appreciate Renoir and I liked Van Gogh's " Starry Night" but I was also a huge Edgar Allen Poe fan growing up so that is my dark n broody side I keep hidden.... [Monet's "Water Lillies" gave me inspiration for my pseudonym] and Manet's depiction of "the Battle of Kearsarge and the Alabama" offers a rare glimpse into colonial maritime perils and skirmishes, and I am always amused at Manet's rendition of Monsieur Monet's Studio Boat" and Rochefort's retreat.
