- Why I want to join the Temple
- As a practicing and learning druid, I have always been interested in the deeper spirituality of all theologies.
- About Myself and My interests
- I am working on becoming a priestess in a Druid coven. I love reading and writing, teaching, crocheting, knitting, and supporting animal rights, especially working to ban breed specific legislation against larger 'bully' breed dogs. I have a Siamese cat, who is my dearest love, and my pup, an English Mastiff, who is very special to my heart. My husband and I have been together for over 25 years, though married only 13.
- My Teachers and Influences
- My parents were some of the biggest influences for me. They taught me to question everything, find what makes me feel complete, and keep learning and growing. Other than that, I have to say I learn every day from my friends and family, and they have been special influences in my ideas.
- My Goals
- I am getting closer to becoming a priestess, but I would have to say my primary goal is to help those who want to learn alternative philosophies and realize that they are all part of the big picture.
- Authors and/or Books I appreciate
- I love books from Piers Anthony, Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, and any books on mythologies and cultures of ancient lands. I have a love for anthropology and theology, and lately, I have been researching the pagan roots of Christianity, reading anything I can about it.
- Music I appreciate
- I listen to anything from Bach to Dethklok. It truly depends on what mood I am in. I love rock, punk, new age, and metal, but when I am in the mood, I love Vivaldi, Dvorak, and Chopin. Liquid Mind is one of my favorite new age music, and I am developing a greater appreciation for guitars.
- Movies and TV shows I appreciate
- The Wizard of Oz is my all-time favorite movie. Almost any Disney classic movie has my heart, and I love sci fi/fantasy/action movies. Thrillers that don't have to use blood and gore to tell a story also capture my mind. I am addicted to NCIS and Supernatural on the television, along with Metalocalypse and Squidbillies.
