The Martyrdom of Peter

This is a story spawned from many contested views. But it is a fascinating story nonetheless. After months of research I was able to piece together a fluid prose that I believe depicts the final times of St. Peter fairly. This will be the first of many blogs that will further detail some of the more obscure stories left out of the New Testament. To start this off I’d like to bring to light some of the fundamental aspects of the story of Peter. The Acts of Peter is dated approximately 120-170…See More

The Cold War

The cold war is over. We won, okay? We won big time. We got the largest, best equipped, most technologically advanced military force in the world. A military three times the size of the second military force in the world: Russia. We could easily cut military spending by three hundred billion dollars and still be twice Russia’s force. Three hundred billion dollars would galvanize public education, Medicare, social security, and leave enough money to repair our crumbling infrastructure.…See More

American Dream

This damn world. As you surely get older, you slowly lose everything that is a profound part of you. This is dealt with accordingly by the psyche. We comfort ourselves with spiritual ideals. We understand the impermanence of all in the world around us. But we refuse to let go of the elusive dream, the one carried for years and everything always comes back to. The dream everyone has of themselves in their ideal individual state. This dream becomes more like a projection than an actual…See More

Loud Noises

The very sound of the city lives in my bones. It clutters the mind. I think how unnatural this life is. Even the signature sounds of the world have changed. Primitive man was flooded with the sounds of the natural world. Today, two thirds of the nature and wildlife that our ancestors coexisted with has been wiped out of existence.  When one steps outside and closes their eyes while inhaling a deep breath of the polluted air and listens to the ambient din enveloping them, they become flooded…See More

All in All

Physics tells us that everything carries unique vibrations; in other words, a signature pulse. In that sense, everything is alive. I am alive. You are alive. He is alive. She is alive. They are alive. We are alive. And the trees are alive. And the rivers are alive. And art is alive. And God is alive. And if God is alive, then either God is one of us, which can not be true because there would be no free will, or God is all of us. If God is all of us, then either we are all separate and divine…See More

Evolution of Superheroes on the Silver Screen

Perhaps Benjamin Franklin started all of this, way back in 1754, with a single cartoon panel printed by an editorial with political connotations. However, most experts would concur that Rudolph Topffer's “Obediah Oldbuck” (1837) was not only the first comic book, but also the first graphic novel. Since then, the artistic styles that the comic medium presented, and the social issues it has juggled, have rapidly changed with oncoming generations. Soon thereafter, comics developed the…See More

A Question of Free Will

Can feel you watching me when they aren't watching you.Without these judging eyes upon us imagine what we could do.In another time, we would have been queens and kings. Now, merely starved poets, wounded hearts waiting for what life brings. So sad: how different we are here; worlds apart. You are free to choose your end but you have no say in how you start... See More

Road to Damascus

What seemed a lifetime, her and Iwere locked inside,a parasitic-symbiotic dream. At least when we scream,we know we are alive.Nevermind, feeling listless and confined. We're just passing the time;while we wait for the weight of our liesto bury us alive. So becomes our past. And we let it pass. But no, not really;because the little things now kill me.The further from it I flee, the closer my past gets, forever driving me further from Damascus.See More

The Failed Pentagon

Information is intelligence. Intelligence has been regulated since the atomic age by a process referred to as compartmentalization. In this construct, only a privileged few know the entire scope of the operation around them, and the rest of the people only know what they need in order to survive or perform a specific duty. The compilation of all the compartments makes the whole. Even the circuit boards on our computers were built to follow this Gestalt model. But this form of intelligence…See More

The Grand Delusion

Not in any way am I for bullying; but, does any one else recognize how hypocritical this anti-bullying trend is? America was built on the sweat of the bullied. We bullied the Indians because we wanted their land, Blacks because we were to lazy to do our own labor, the Chinese so we could build our railroads cheaper, the proletariat in order to exploit a desperate workforce, the Latin Americans, the Koreans, and the Vietnamese to continue the tradition of colonialism, the Middle East when we…See More

Why I want to join the Temple
Dante envisioned the Ninth Circle of Hell as the domain of those who betrayed their fellow man. The morally bankrupt politicians and spiritually conterfeit religous leaders.I feel like a Judas. A parasite even. A slumbering idiot childishly destroying evertything around me. Its time to wake up. And though I may refuse to participate as little as possible in the evil mechanics of this world, I still have to live in it. These blogs are literary accounts of my direct observations from the ninth circle of hell. Hope you enjoy
