- Why I wish to join The Temple & how I found out about it...
- I found the site by Google-ing "Ophiel". I would like to join because I am hoping to find insight and fellowship. I believe I have read all of Ophiel's books; my first being a hardcopy of The Art of Astral Projection. The others I read via this website.
- About Myself & My Interests...
- I believe I am a natural mystic. I have been fascinated with the metaphysical since adolescence, and for the last thirteen years been on a spiritual journey that has brought me immense knowledge and guidance.
- My Teachers & Influences, What was it about them that influenced me?
- Jesus Christ: I became a Christian at age 18, without testimony from another Christian (referred to as a "spirit-led" conversion). St. John of the Cross: reading his Dark Night of the Soul helped me understand what I experienced for seven years. Ophiel: whose book on Astral Projection was the first solid book to show me ancient truths.
I am presently learning about Taoism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Sufism, while continuing my studies of the occult.
- Authors and/or Books I appreciate:
- I like Ophiel a lot. I feel that I can identify with some of what he experienced, such as his natural inclination toward the mystical, as well as experiencing an uncanny amount of opposition from the world and my surroundings.
- Musicians and/or Music I appreciate:
- I love all kinds of music; blues, rock and roll, jazz, metal, folk, opera. One of my favorite songs is "O Fortuna". =)
