I was asked to do a favor for my very best friend in the world. She happens to be Pagan, like myself, but prays to the Egyptians (Kemetic) instead of the Greeks. She has a personal problem that she needs help from one of the Greek gods for, and has written a sort of message/letter of introduction that she has asked me to give to Lord Hermes himself so that he may deliver it to the god in question. I don't want to get into the private details of her message, and I've already found several great…See More
To connect with other open-minded Spiritual people, and hopefully make some new friends. I enjoy talking about spiritual matters with like-minded individuals.
About Myself and My interests
I have been accused of having a "tangential speech pattern" and this may reflect that. Thus, the following may be in somewhat random order.
I'm a 27-year-old female who happens to be Pansexual, Pagan, and a self-admitted geek.
I have followed my personal spiritual path since I was eighteen or there-about; I worship the Greco-Roman pantheon. My patrons are Apollo and (to a 'slightly' lesser extent) Aphrodite. You may catch me calling on Hecate for Ritual, and Hestia when I'm in the kitchen. I take public transport everyday, so I pray to Hermes a WHOLE lot. However, I also give respect to all Deities from around the world; I have friends in the Kemetic and Ásatrú pantheons. I consider myself a Pagan who occasionally does a Wiccan spell, but I do not necessarily follow the true Path of Wicca... Although Scott Cunningham's 'Wicca: A Guide For the Solitary Practitioner' is my favorite spiritual book of all time! I enjoy talking about these topics with like-minded individuals.
I think gender should not be a factor in love. I have been interested in females, males, and transgendered individuals. Love comes in whatever form it will.
My primary 'occupation' involves spending the majority of my waking hours on the internet or reading a book. To fund food and shelter, I work at a record store, listening to music and being as sarcastic as I can get away with.
My spirit animal is a fox, and if I had a choice in my next incarnation, I would come back as one.
My Teachers and Influences
I'm mostly self-taught, so my education is a bit piecemeal. "Wicca: A Guide For the Solitary Practitioner" by Scott Cunningham helped to form the first skeletons of my spiritual path, which I then built on through independent research and varying sources. I draw a little from Wicca, a whole lot from Hellenistic Neo-Paganism; a lesson or two from Buddhism (karma and reincarnation), Hinduism (the seven Chakras), New Age (meditation) and Native American Shamanism (totem animals). I learn what I can, where I can, and am willing to gain knowledge from anywhere; be it an elder friend on the Path, wonderfully helpful books, or even a well-cited Wikipedia article on the internet.
Long Term: To constantly evolve as a Spiritual human being; to learn more all the time; to meet people like myself who qualify as "Other," and to learn to open myself up enough to make new friends.
Short Term: Fully opening my Third Eye; setting aside time each day to meditate; communing better with my Spirit Animal.
