- For discussion and debate on spirituality, esotericism, philosophy and anything else that stokes the fires of passion within us ;)
- About Myself and My interests
- I read a series of books on various paranormal subjects when I was around 12 years old, this fuelled my over active juvenile imagination. When my next door neighbour gave me an early edition of Idries Shah "Secret Lore of Magic" that he had found behind a wardrobe in their house my mind was blown.
From that point onwards I have followed an eclectic pagan path, delving into and discussing various strands of mysticism and spirituality for over 20 years now.
I am a husband and father of 2 boys living in the UK (Cambridgeshire) and I run a Training Consultancy business.
Interests? Walking in nature, writing (stories, poems, screenplays), reading, playing music and spending time with family and friends.
- My Teachers and Influences
- Life has been my greatest teacher, along with the experiences of others. I love nothing more than sharing personal stories around the hearth fire at a gathering or around the table at a dinner. we can learn so much if we simply pay attention to our collective wisdom.
I am a member of OBOD (Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids).
- My Goals
- To create a world of possibility for myself, my friends and my family and to help my sons understand that life is far more than it first seems.
- Authors and/or Books I appreciate
- Too many to mention... From Idries Shah, Israel Regardie and the classics (Jung, Nietzsche,etc) through to Phillip Carr Gomm, Emma Restall Orr
- Music I appreciate
- Hugely eclectic... Heavy Metal and grunge through to folk and classical.
I enjoy playing guitar, keyboard, concert flute, bamboo flute (Bahu and Dizi) and tin whistle with varying competencies ;)
- Movies and TV shows I appreciate
- Anything that creates an emotional response... I don't mind if it's fear, sadness or elation. I like to be taken on a journey.
