SPELL-A-DAY

With so much chaos going on around us, it can be hard to focus on the positive and peaceful aspects of life. For this spell all you need is yourself and a garden, either yours or a community garden you like to visit.Find a cozy and quiet place in the garden and sit down to relax. Look at all the lush life growing abundantly around you in collective harmony. Witness and experience all the flora and fauna cohabitating, and allow that energy to fill you up as you remember the abundance and beauty that life has to offer. Feel your hands on the soft grass, smell the aroma of any scented flowers in bloom, and listen for any birds or bees flying around the garden. Close your eyes and take in all the serenity of this place and know that peace does exist and is readily available. When you are ready, take this energy with you and spread it to others throughout the day.

Spirits of Place

Whether you live amid asphalt and skyscrapers or forests and fields, every place is inhabited by spirits of the land. Partnering with these spirits can benefit both you and them, creating more harmony and dissolving obstructions. In a meditative state, make your intention known:Spirits of this land, I seek to partner with you in perfect love and perfect trust. Allow time for a connection to be felt, perhaps repeating this intention over multiple days. Be patient, especially if this is your first time connecting with the spirits of this place.When the connection is made, start a conversation like you would with a person; get to know each other. Over time, you can ask if thereandrsquo;s something the spirits need to support their health and healing. Perhaps they want litter picked up or pollinator-friendly flowers planted. Maybe their request is more energetic in nature, such as regular offerings of love. In return, the spirits may offer healing, blessings, or insights.

Bring It to Me Spell

Use this magick to attract what you desire. You will need:1 handful basil3 quartz crystal pointsA 6-inch circle of yellow, green, white, or red fabricA 6-inch piece of yellow, green, white, or red stringPlace the basil and crystals in the center of the fabric circle. Hold your hands over the herbs and crystals as you think of what you want to attract. Envision having whatever it is, and feel the emotions this will bring. Send this energy through your hands and into the basil and quartz points. Gather the edges of the fabric and twist the top to form a bundle with the basil and crystals inside. Tie the bundle around the top with the string to secure. Carry this with you as a charm to attract to you what you want.

A Pansy Love Spell

Pansies are known for being a powerful love-attracting ingredient in love magic. For this spell youandrsquo;ll need a pack of seeds or a small bouquet of pink, burgundy, or red pansies. A mix is fine, too. Youandrsquo;ll also need a sheet of paper. Place the seeds or cut pansies on your altar. Concentrate on the type of person you wish to attract, but donandrsquo;t think of a specific person. Then on the paper, write these words:Pansies pink, pansies red, Bring me the one who will turn my head. Find me the one who will light a spark. Find me the one who will warm my heart. Keep the pansies for three days. If you have a pack of seeds, plant them in a garden or pot. If you have cut pansies, compost them or throw them out. Keep the written charm hidden, and read it now and then. When you find a partner, carefully burn the paper in the flame of a pink candle. When the ashes cool, throw them out. Keep the candle for future spellwork.

Under the Rose

Roses are often associated with love and love spells, but they also figure prominently in spells for secrecy and silence. Roses have been closely linked to Harpocrates, the god of silence. When swearing a person to secrecy or engaging in actions you wish to keep secret, make an oath "under the rose."Gather rose petals, stem roses, or cut rose flowers from bushes. Place them in a cloth bag, or gather the roses in a bundle and tie with black yarn or string. The fresher the roses, the more potent the spell.As you gather with others to manifest your secret magick, place the bundle of roses above your heads. Hang the roses like you would mistletoe in a doorway or from the ceiling. Work the spell under the roses, and all present will be oathbound not to reveal what was done, discussed, or revealed.

Adopting a pet isn’t always an easy process. Filling out applications, waiting, and then meeting potential future family members can be as tiring and frustrating as it is rewarding. To ease the process, write the name of the type of animal you want to adopt on a blank piece of paper, and place it on your altar ( you can also make a general statement, such as “Let the right animal for me come to me”). Weigh the paper down with four stones: rose quartz for the love you will give and receive, smokey quartz for endurance of the adoption process, garnet for the commitment you will be making, and turquoise for the joy you will give and receive through the pet ownership. As you place each stone, speak your desire aloud:

Paw, claw, fin, or feather,
I know we will find each other!

Leave the message on your altar until your new family member joins you.

SIMPLE ITEM LOCATION SPELL

Items needed:

writing surface and writing utensil
pendulum (or a necklace with a large pendent)

Steps:

draw the layout of the area that you believe the item is located
picture the item clearly in your head and hold it there
take the pendulum and hang it over the picture, chant this “(insert item’s name) where have you gone? I’ve come to claim you from things lost. You are mine, and I shall find you”
continue chanting this, and allow your pendulum to move freely (it will direct you towards where it is on the map
