Pattie: Several points. 1) Most imortant is your sun-sign, moon sign and ascendant -- 9:00 on your pie chart. Also your mid-heaven (noon) for your success and fame. Do you have planets near the Ascendant or mid-Heaven? They figure prominently in your life. 2) What gods (all over the world) do you feel closest to? Female and male. Ex. Greek, Artemis and Pan; Egyptian: Isis and Thoth, etc. 3) Develop a relationship with them like Michelle is doing. Then you get to ask for favors if it's in their area of expertise. Show gratitude and keep them in your prayers 4) The most sacred ritual is the sacred union of heaven and Earth. Figuratively, you place your athame (knife) into the chalice (cup) "and conjoined they bring blessedness." You will be blessed! Or take a partner and know this sex, invoking the Gods into you and your partner, is SACRED. You get many blessings for letting them unite thru your bodies. Hope I didn't scare you off.

I don't know much about astrological charts, although I have had one done for me in the past. Can anyone offer suggestions for using it, such as (Linda) praying to or following Mars...how do I know who/what is prominently positioned in my chart? I would possibly like to use this information in my practices.

Mars is prominently positioned in my astrological chart. I'm a Taurus with Aries rising and Mars is also conjunct my mid-heaven and Part of Fortune at the very top of my chart. It's from Mars whereby I derive my energy to do and joy to live! I will ask him to keep an eye on my garden, now that I see he influences agriculture. Thanks!

Actually, I don't do magic. I pray to the gods, give them offerings and Libations. On certain days that are holidays then I do a ritual to them. I'm a Roman recon and have been for nearly a month.
