Comment by LINDABOSTIC@MICROSOFT yesterday Yes this is something I just want to be a part of!
Comment by Diana Muñiz yesterday Love to talk about this topic, I think that the fact that all these patterns, proportions, and spirals are found in nature is not a coincidence, the universe looks as an intelligent design, with rules, laws, and ellaborate and complex geometry and mathemathics.
I found this really cool video on internet some months ago and I want to share it with you.https://www.khanacademy.org/math/recreational-math/vi-hart/spirals-...

Comment by Zephonith. on Monday Interestingly enough the pine cone, which forms the apex of the Caduceus of Dionysus - the Thyrsus, is in the form of a perfect spiral ~ the centre of which represents the starting and ending point of all Creation in the natural world..
As Above, So Below ~ At the centre of every separate galaxy there is a Black Hole. Sometimes there are several Black Holes to be found within each galaxy. These absorb all things within the galaxy eventually; absorbing all things and then giving these birth again in new forms of creation - recycling the old and wasteful into new spiral forms to be re-born again into a new cycle of existence.
Thus, the Mandala was born and the esoteric significance of the Spiral has been expressed in a multitude of ways. A theory of reincarnation is based on a spiral progression through many lifetimes; and as such it is believed by many that what goes around, always comes around again.
Comment by Zephonith. on Monday For me the basis of sacred geometry begins with the spiral - well, begins and never-ends, actually.
The spiral is found within every single natural thing, and so it is the primal symbol of the Great Mother Goddess, representing the inner pathway to the Labyrinth.
The Golden Mean Ratio is found in all things , as each part of the whole can be rendered as proportionate with the spiral formula, Pi.
Some examples of spiral forms ~
Ever since time immemorial, we have associated the spiral with the Mystery, as it is the symbol of the Goddess. Above, we see two spirals, one representing increase (life/growth, Yang energies) and the other, decrease (decline, death, Yin energies).
With all of this it isn't surprising that the Spiral is to be found amongst all ancient cultures.
The Spiral is a symbol of the natural cycles of existence, and the natural progression of the soul through the stages of attaining enlightenment.
