Actually I don't remember my dreams very often, but the last dreams I had were about waves.
The first one was many years ago I remember There was a very high wave and I was on top of it while it advanced.
The second one a few months ago I was at the beach and this time the giant wave was comming my way, and I knew It was going to get me, then I closed my eyes and put my hands together in a praying position, the dream ended there.
The last one was a few weeks ago, in the dream I was at I beach house and a giant wave came, I could get out of it's way this time and then watched how the tide was now higher and It had almost reached the house.
Do someone know what does this means or if there is some simbolism related with giant waves in dreams?

It is difficult to pigeon-hole symbols because the same image can represent different things to different dreamers. It honestly depends largely upon the feelings you experience during the dream. However, with that said, I can help: Water represents a myriad of concepts, from creativity to cleansing, emotions to spirituality. But within the context of your dreams, it seems to symbolize the following:
"Riding a very high wave." You're trying to manage your emotions. Were you going through a particularly emotional time when you had this dream?
"Giant wave that was 'going to get' you" "closed your eyes and prayed". There is/was something demanding your attention, something that you did not wish to see or deal with on an emotional level. You are hoping God will resolve it or save you from dealing with it.
"Giant wave" "Tide rising and almost reaching house." Once again, there is something that is refusing to be denied in your life. You manage to skirt out of the way to avoid it, but you will have to face it soon. The tide--which symbolizes emotional cleansing--is rising and will reach your house, which represents you, your mind, body and spirit.
Giant waves can mean tremendous emotions and spiritual potential and power. So, I encourage you to reflect upon your waking life to see what needs to be faced. In this way, an emotional upheaval can be managed and you can come into your spiritual potential and power.
I hope this helps. :)
Permalink Reply by Diana Muñiz on November 8, 2012 at 10:05pm Thanks for your answersI had another dream about waves, I guess this symbol is really trying to get my attention. Now I was at the beach, now there wasn't a giant tsunami wave, but constant big waves (not tsunamis) coming my way, other people were inside swimming in the waves but I stayed at the shallow part near to the beach beacause I was afraid.
Permalink Reply by hope03 on November 9, 2012 at 8:54am Ocean waves (water in general) can indicate your emotions or spiritual potential. Are you trying to clamp down on your emotions? Are you fearful of them? Are you harboring some hidden fear about your spiritual potential? You have repeated opportunities to receive inspiration and growth as you watch others enjoy the process. But, some fear is keeping you from venturing beyond than shallow learning.
Permalink Reply by hope03 on January 16, 2013 at 8:38am Hi Diana. The good news in this dream is that the waves were not tsunamis (destructive). This dream seems to be more of a spirituality dream than a physical threat dream. The fact that you see others swimming in the waves and you stayed in the shallow part because you were afraid leads me to believe that you have some opportunity to develop your spiritual abilities, even having others to show you by example, but you still are afraid of doing so.
Especially in connection to your previous wave dream, it appears that you might have some inner conflicting spiritual beliefs about coming into your own spiritual power.
Just as a side note: Developing your spiritual power and abilities does not mean you are independent from God. In fact, it is the opposite. When you truly strengthen your connection to God and develop your abilities, you simply become a better conduit.
Permalink Reply by D.T Phillip on December 29, 2012 at 9:54pm Yea i also had a few wave dreams.
i remember one where i was on the beach with i believe it to be my wife. We were on the beach and all of a sudden the ocean was gone. I knew for a fact that a tsunami was coming. I remember being very afraid and then i woke up.
I had another one where the same scenario played out, but i didn't wake up. I ran inland and climbed up onto a rock. As i was sitting there i was thinking that this was a horrible place to avoid the wave but i felt like it was too late to do anything, so i sat there and accepted that i was going to die and then i woke up.
Then i had another one where i was on the beach with my wife and mother. The ocean was there one minute then it was far out. Then the wave came fast and right before it hit me i woke up. When i woke up, i felt like i touched it. .
Permalink Reply by hope03 on January 16, 2013 at 8:44am Your wave dreams reflect your waking life fears. How can I tell? Because you are fearful in your dreams when facing those waves.
Life brings us many challenges and responsibilities and it is human nature to feel overwhelmed by them at times. In your dreams, you are aware of coming--yet unseen--challenges. You wonder if you can survive but you do what you can.
I would like you to know that despite our fears of our inadequacies, we have tremendous personal power over our circumstances. As you daydream or reflect upon these wave dreams, envision a powerful ending to your dreams. Imagine yourself riding high on them and then settling upon a beautiful higher mountaintop where your mansion is. Or that you will stand before them and wave your hands and magically getting the waves to subside or retreat. Or boarding a helicopter to rise above the waves until they pass.
These will help to lessen your fears and thus, reduce those fearful dreams. During your waking life, try to gain a sense of better control over your life conditions at least in your mind. It all begins in your mind.
Permalink Reply by Diana Muñiz on January 15, 2013 at 8:46pm I had another dream with high waves, I was now at the beach with my cousins and very large waves started to come. One of the waves started to take the sand away in the place I was standing, the sea took so much sand away that a hole formed under my feet, a high wall made of sand formed behind me and I had to climb it with much dificulty I felt anxiety because I thought I wouldn't get to the top on time. The wave was moving closer. Before it reached me I woke up from the dream (as usual) I had a feeling that I got to the top on time to save myself from it.
It must mean something, the fact that in all the dreams I had and the ones I read here the person never gets swept away by the wave. You are saved or wake uf from the dream before it gets you-
Permalink Reply by hope03 on January 16, 2013 at 8:26am Hi Diana. Your dream seems to indicate that you are facing a situation that can bring highly-charged emotions and you fear that you might not be able to deal with them because you lack a solid foundation somehow related to this situation. For example, you might during your waking life see increasing financial demands on the horizon but you might be sinking in debt already and worry you can't climb out before more bills come in. This way or may not be the exact situation but it is an example. It could be related to a health situation, career situation or even personal situation.
The good news is that no one gets swept away out to sea. :)
But your recurring dreams of tsunamis reveals that you are an emotional person with many dramatic events in your life.

I am facing an overwhelming situation now.I had an experience with kundalini energy two years ago and since then I started having more dreams of this kind. First about tsunamis and now with big waves. I am dealing with a lot of feelings that were repressed before and now are coming to surface. I am dealing with old thought patterns too and in addition still dealing with the everyday life. The job, relationships, family. I guess I am just overwhelmed sometimes.
