That's a great point, Archnemisis. It reminds me of a quote from one of the Hellraiser films. The French Black Magician says to his apprentice; 'He who summons the magic, commands the magic'.

Woe foster…The problem is not the problem, the problem is your attitude about the problem…do you understand, attempting to open a gateway to their relm without authority to command all the host of them is not likely to reap rewards, what you need to do is build a hedge around you to protect yourself from psychic attack…Might I suggest the ARS THEURGIA

Hi Brian, 

I think something was protecting you that night. In my humble opinion, everything happens for a reason. Who knows; if you followed through with the ritual, the result could have completely shattered your psyche. We all react differently to non-physical energies (malevolent ones in particular).  Also, the fact that you intended to do a ritual certainly put you on their radar; hence the presence you felt. I'm no expert on this but when you intend to connect with these types of entities, your aura becomes like a beacon to them. You light up like a firefly on the astral plane....and they come to you. 

The book goes into all sorts of details; how they could appear / manifest, what each demon's particular specialty is, etc. There is much, much more but each person's experience is likely to differ based on their perceptual / experiential lenses, psychic ability, genetics, etc.

i had a chance to use the goeita one in a place i was living, but didn't have the area to creat the circle big enough as to not get attacked. I felt a presence that night, like something was going to appear. Because of the limited space didn't do it. To this day i regret it. No I don't even know witch spirit was going to show up, cause i didn't do it.

Concerning the goetia If you want the spirits to render themselves visible and obey you must build and trust soley in the help of god, since the demons have there rank and number they know that first born has first right, however in your undertakings if after the citation the spirits still do not appear, then place the spirits seal on coles of fire and cast franks incense unto it, when the smoke arises repeat the citation again, and if after that they are still reluctant there is one more thing you can do but I do not wish to include this here…

This is great, but I don't know of anyone who have actually tried the conjuring or was even successful, apart from mr. Crowley and john Dee, perhaps its better to form an alliance
