My Pleasure, Andrew. It is only because sex is alien to us that we view it as a stranger, but as soon as we start accepting it as something natural, (perhaps even divine), we will have no need to be torn between the two.

It is a sad reality that the thing closest to us is so far removed from us, and that by our own hand. This in itself is proof of intelligent evil at work, even if it's just our own.

I like to apply the Elemental Zodiac to the questions of Love and Sex, etc.
If we look at the Fixed Cross of I Earth, We Fire, We Water, and All Air we can see I Earth as individual sensuality, We Fire as sharing our Divine Spark with another or Will, We Water as intimacy of experience/emotion with another, and All Air as friendship or social interaction with many others.

Sensual(Physical) intimacy(Soul/Psyche) with another is something i'd call sex.  Will according to Friendship might be called Love.  Or perhaps the combination of all 4 is Love.   combining them makes for interesting perspectives, however, and i think brings more clarity to difficult words with many meanings — archetypal words such as Love that seem to include compassion(All Water) or right action (I Fire), etc.

Did you know that animals like dolphins also practice sex for pleasure?

Love and sex are not the same, but since both are a part of our lives one of the two persons might miss it when absent; moreover, when sex and love, (and I'm talking true love) combines, that is magic. Truly the one is a waste without the other, and can only function for a short while on their own. This is especially true for sex, without love, (as we all know), life becomes meaningless and hollow.

My advice is try and embrace both it is the designed purpose after all. This depends on the affiliation between the two people of course. However never say never; what I mean is when you go into a relationship with the expectation of friendship, don't be too reluctant to change the initial intent ... life happens ... control is an illusion - (follow some good eastern advice). Lol

LOVE & SEX ; I have been asked many times what the difference is between love and sex.For instance are they one and the same, can one love without having sex? is love forced or abusive? is sex a right? These questions are perplexing and i might add hard to answer.Love ,to me is a feeling, a feeling that cant be explained in any sort of mathematical equation, or theoretical system.Love just is.If you love someone does that automatically mean that you must have sex with them? Personally i dont think so, as one loves another in different ways.For example you have love for a child,or an animal,or your mother,father,grand parents, trees,plants, countries etc.Sex though is not involved.Sex is for the procreation of our species, humans by the way are the only creatures that participate in recreational sex.Dont get me wrong I love sex. It should though never be done by force or sold cheaply, It should be consential between those who participate in sex.Love between two people does rely solely on the sex act being practised.After all God is love, Christs message was love.

Love one another as you would love yourself.

hi i am new to this group but me and my family had a falling out period with jesus. we are going back to my old religion . i do hope for courage and strength to go to a new church on sunday and pray to the lord. god bless you all
