Hello Temple Initiates!

Hello and welcome Temple initiates!

Do you have a blog? Do you post interesting and worthwhile things to Tumblr? Are you constantly posting wise quotes to Twitter? Do you have a Website for Witchery? Perhaps you have an Online Store? Or maybe you make YouTube videos about something! Whatever it is that you're on the internet about, here's the place to publicize it!

I welcome you to post a new discussion for your blog or internet source! (one discussion thread per person please) Tell a little bit about what your website etc is about or for and give a link/ links! Let Temple Initiates explore your creativity.

Use your discussion thread to post updates so people can know the most recent news!

Also, if you're a Temple Initiate looking for new reads etc, feel free to join the group, explore and interact!!

Also, feel free to talk about and share any other blogs / websites you've discovered that you think Group Members would be interested in!

This group is also for those who have Temple Illuminatus blogs! You can publicize the fact that you blog and give an overview of what you blog about as well as a link to your temple blog! <3

So why did I make this group anyway?

I must admit, at first I thought of making a group for publicize and giving updates about my own work. However, I didn't want to make the original idea because that was purely self-serving and... well... what's the sense in a group that's all about me! But then it clicked in my head: Why not make a group that's all about everyone who's got creative work out there!!! And I decided it would be a great addition to the Temple Groups!

Before creating the group, I did a quick check to see if there was another similar group, and I didn't find anything... so... HERE IT IS!!! A group for getting your internet creativity known and for finding new things to read!

Of the Dying Gods, Eostre, and the Resurrection

I have it in my mind to write a blog, but don’t know what to write, so this is going to be rather stream-of-consciousness.  Yesterday was the Christian Easter, that ages-old story of the dying God, who perishes, only to be reborn.  This is yet…Continue

‘Twas the Night Before Yule

‘Twas the night before Yule, and all through the Coven,
The cookies were baked and removed from the oven.
The bayberry candles were lit on the table,
The altar was wrapped in a new cloth of sable.

The children were nestled, all snug in their beds,
While visions of Yuletime danced in their heads.
Their stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that some presents soon would be there!

With Rocker in his new robe, and I in mine,
We were asking our Goddess her blessing divine.
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
We sprang from our Circle to see what was the matter.

Away to the window, tripping over my sash,
My eyes were a-glamoured with a bright silver flash.
The moon on the breasts of the Goddess and God
Drew my eyes to behold the blessed Circle they trod.

When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But the manifestations of all those we hold Dear.
The physical forms of those whom we pray to,
Even Saint Nick, and his miniature sleigh, too!

Jehovah, Mohammed, Shiva, Hera and Thor.
Zeus, Freya, Brahma, and many, many more.
All the Spiritual Entities who’d ever been mentioned.
Even some, like dear Loki, who sowed seeds of dissension.

They greeted each other with smile, warm and sweet.
Then, forming a Circle, they all took a seat.
With multiple Voices all joined as One,
The Corners were Called. And, when that was done.

The Chalice was passed from Hand to Hand.
Then, a blanket of silence enfolded the land.
A crystal clear Voice began to hold sway.
Which Deity spoke? I could not say.

But, clearly, I heard all the love in that Voice.
It caused my tired heart to take flight and rejoice.
“Our Children, it seems, have missed the whole point.
“We now join together, their hearts to anoint.

“Pour all of Our love O’er their hearts of stone.
“Let them see that together they’re never alone!
“Show them it matters not which of Us that they choose.
“Their sad hate and mistrust cause each of Us to lose!”

As I stood there transfixed, I could suddenly see
If we all stand as one, what a world this could be!
Put ALL of our differences well behind us.
Let the love of the Gods enfold and remind us.

We ARE all the same, though varied our skins.
We all dream the same dreams, we all sin the same sins.
With a look of enlightenment etched on my face,
I beheld all the Gods in Their glory and grace!

They all bowed Their heads then said “So mote it be!”
They all smiled at each Other bestowing winks on me.
One by One they disappeared from my sight.
Just the Goddess and God were left in the light.

As slowly They twinkled, fading by degree,
“Happy Yuletide to all!!
Blessed be times three!”

hey - why does it seem everyone's providing their updates/promo's in the comments section? it's kinda hard to track there, and each post pushes everything down and out of the way...I can only speak for myself, but I'd rather see more discussions started. that way, we can provide direct feedback, and I think it'd be easier to keep tabs on the individuals that we're following. for example, check out the discussions that have been posted in this group so far by yours truly and others :-)

Good to see you posting, Steffiepoo!  I'll go farther about our senses of humor.  It not only runs through our DNA, and our bloodstreams, it keeps us alive, literally.  All the desperate times we've been through, when we thought the end was near, but one of us says something funny or silly, and the other one says something funny or silly back, and pretty soon we're both laughing, and the serious situation is defused.  We're both FI (you can explain and define that), but suddenly the situation isn't so dire anymore, and we're both still alive.

Hi! Everyone I'm back. I have had very serious back pain which has kept me from writing on the internet. For those who don't know me I'm Arch Druid Stephen W. Abbott. I blog here in fact. I just posted a blog entry an hour ago. I thought I had lost it but then I found it again. I blog on other networks. I have a long time Pagan blog on www.PaganSpace.net and on www.Keen.com as Stephen6580 and on Facebook. Most of the other places I do blogs for don't exist anymore. I also have a blog on StumbleUpon and Blogger. I'm looking for other places to do blogs. I think blogging is a wonderful tool. It really gets the creative juices flowing. It is both educational and entertaining. Pagans have embraced the whole concept of the blog. The blog seems tailor made for us Pagans. For 10 years I have been a Pagan blogger. I dare say I may do it for another 10 years before I'm dead. Then I will be in my 70's. At 62 I'm one of the younger Pagan bloggers. It seems like Pagan elders like Pagan blogging. Most of us Pagan elder bloggers have a rather rich sense of humor. You will find many strains of humor in many Pagan blogs. I think a sense of humor just runs through our DNA. All I can say is keep on blogging folks. Take Care and Blessed Be All. Arch Druid Stephen W. Abbott

I never realized how "popular" (as one might call it) my group became. I'll be exploring many of your guys' and gals' works asap.

I just wrote one this past weekend called "Of Dying Gods, Eostre, & the Resurrection" at PaganSpace.net.  Some people are having trouble accepting it.  Oh, what the hell! I'll post it here as a discussion!  Brb.
