Temple Illuminatus

hello all...
i try to be a simple man. i live alone with my cat, merlin, in a small-medium sized town in east tennessee, usa. i work construction and make decent pay. i come home and get online with this site, facebook and youtube while watching the evening news with the volume down. i burn incense and smoke a little weed and maybe sip on some cognac and listen to music. then at about 11ish, i go to bed in my recliner (haven't slept in a bed in many moons lol).
in my mind, however, i am somewhat a complex person. i have reasons for everything i do.
i believe in life and the essence of god that exists in all life...but i do not/will not believe in the organization of church. so am i christian? do i believe in christ? the bible tells about christ in the definition of king james's version. but i believe that there was such a man, born of a mother and father, but with a gift (as many of us). back then, for lack of media, to converse one had to travel and of course any intelligent man will have followers. maybe christ was a shaman? maybe a philosopher who just made sense of stuff. who knows? i wasn't there when he was around so i can't really give a worthy opinion of the man. all i know is what king james wanted us all to know (while other relevant info was edited). so if a pagan is a godless person, then i am not pagan. i don't really call myself anything but human. i believe there are good and bad in all faiths and beliefs. why not believe in all the good stuff and tolerate the bad that must come with it.
music, art, poetry and expressive thought are major things in my life...and i pay great attention to detail. through these things, i try to express who i am and what i believe in. this seems to be something that has stuck with me for a long time.
now...with that and all prior discussions being said, tell me...
who are you?

Michael,

I do know for sure, I figure I am part of a peaceful collective of.

And I too have trouble with living arrangements, and being comfortable here, and finding company that does not desire to change me to suit their fancy. LOL

But as far as Christ, it is a separate matter as he was here to help those who asked for help!

Not to change what he did not like when he saw things!  So he did not assert his authority and opinion, which was what most desired him to do!  And most Christians desire today!  But this is not what I see needs to be done, as we are not supposed to force any against their will, as this is not love unconditional

But my name is Bruce!

i agree...i wish more thought the same way.  ty bruce : )

I'm Rob. Please to meet you.

hi rob...good to meet you as well... : )

I am the guy with the slogan "believe in nothink" as desktop wallpaper.

"nothink"    i like it  : )

You don't need to do anything to prove who you are to anyone...Just Be YourSelf

The rest is between you and God  Alone

The Only One's that Recognize Truth are One in the Holy Spirit

If you don't know what that appears like you won't know who knows God or not Until you get There

and when you know you know

Reasons I rarely attend Church or Pray in Public...

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 1
Corinthians 3:16

God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth,

dwells not in temples made with hands; Acts 17:24

There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one,

and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 1 Corinthians 15:40

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is
in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:48

Take heed that ye do not your alms
before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which
is in heaven. Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet
before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that
they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their
reward.

But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy
right hand doeth: That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth
in secret himself shall reward thee openly. And when thou prayest, thou shalt
not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues
and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say
unto you, They have their reward.

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into
thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in
secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when
ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they
shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for
your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. Matthew
6:1-8

Love to You

ty ... and let me just make clear...i believe that there are some wonderful things written in the bible and it serves as a good guide for morality in all children...peace to you and may your days be bright and blessed  : )

Many works of Fiction contain useful material for living a good life. You just have to know how to sift through the bullshit. Haha

Matthew 6 (KJV)

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Pretty clear where we should and should not pray and or be boastful / proud.

I always wondered about that whole 'praying in the closet' thing. Hmmmm.

Time to steppeth forth from the closet and showeth thine self to the world.

Raib,

Well this is sort of 2 fold,  one is if you spend a lot of time in prayer it sooner or later turns to meditation, and this is the ticket to upper connect to the spirit.

...not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men...  A righteous person does not need to told they are righteous or viewed this way, and praised for doing the right thing.  You should not be able to upset a righteous person easily.  So you pretty much should be able to insult them without them freaking out.  As they should be like a tree planted by rivers of living water, and no longer need to be told how wonderful they are.   And the tree is telling us to feel grounded to this realm and internally feel connected to earth and infinite spirit or the smurf god or whatever we see this as LOLFS....  But this is all a personal choice to human spiritual user.  And I do not control others fates in the physical realm side of the veil.  So I am supposed to not tell others what to do.  Hints are allowed if I desire to volunteer.

But what is taught today by some main stream religion is our way or the highway,   And if you piss them off or feel negative emotions, what would this mean!? Possibly they are teaching something they just read about and it sounded really like cool shit to share LOL (I flashed to Pulp Fiction Movie there lol)

But I have retired plenty of door knockers before who desired to sell me religion, and it almost comical to watch this unfold, and they pretty much are done for the day when they leave my place LOL....   I have even seen where they just stop coming to my neighborhood.  One of their famous quotes is LOL  Most people do not know the bible like you,  and Once I did respond and share that well yall just usually seem so happy that most of us normal people do not like to bust your bubble,,,  It was something like that anyway,  but they just seem to desire to tell us something we are unaware of.

So this does seem like a fear and acceptance cult method of approval, from the essence mirror
