A few nights ago whilst asleep, i began to feel this huge pressing pressure on my upper torso which was painful and was restricting my breathing. The wierd thing about this is that i was really aware of this happening to me (the pressue was happening in reality) and quite worrying if im honest!!!
I then woke up but i couldnt open my eyes or my mouth as my lips seemed sealed shut. The pressure was still imense on my stomach and my chest and i was fighting to breath and open my eyes ( please note i am definatley awake at this point), i am desperate to return to full reality and escape this event. im not sure how long this experience lasted for exactly but it certainly felt very real and was some what frightening for me.
Well if anyone is interested or has an opinion on the matter id love to hear your views on this!!!
Peace, from the cheshire cat!!! :)

You need to have your spiritual arsenal full to contend with it, Then work thru your sub-conscious to clear supressed memories and needed amends. And of course call on Christ to knock out those Gremlins lol. I don't laugh though really, its intense and not fun, another thing when paralysis comes on try and remember to start to breathe deeper as you realize it and be aware of it and you will snap out of the experience. The fear shallows breathe and your weaker to attacks. The nightly prayer of the Psalm 23 of David helps also. Then its just a matter of time till you come thru it. Many Blessings

thanks for taking the time to read my post and comment! I have very little knowledge of sleep paralysis or any other sleep related dissorders for that matter, so your statement will somewhat help me explore my issue further....
Peace from cheshire, thanks!!!

Permalink Reply by Nancy L on October 16, 2012 at 11:42am This doesn't sound like a sleep disorder, this is called Astral Catalepsy this occurs when a person awakes physically but their spirit (soul, astral body) has not yet fully left or re-entered the body, I get it once in while when I start meditating trying to practice on Astral Traveling.
Our spirits (soul) can slip into and out of our bodies with ease during sleep. But on rare occasions, the conscious mind awakens and catches our spirit either coming or going from our bodies. When this occurs, the mind awakens but the body is unable to respond in any way
Sometimes our conscious thought or mind causes a person to panic. The body is immobile, unable to cry out for help causing other “short circuits’ in our consciousness. That’s when a person may experience all kinds of strange phenomenon from heaviness in the chest area and shortness of breath, a feeling of being watched and/or touched, loud noises or buzzing sounds, apparitions and/or strange lights etc.
I hope this helps.
Hugs,
Nancy
Permalink Reply by TheKundalini.Org on October 16, 2012 at 2:50pm That sounds like it fits to me. I find depending on the person's ability to handle it, we justify it in a physical sense as a sleep disorder to be able to medicate it. When we comprehend the Spiritual astral process we can reach the depths of what we are learning and comprehend it thru our spiritual evolution which once understood will render the sleep disorder need for medicative treatment uneccessary. As mentioned I think the most difficult is overcoming the fear and that one is a different process for everyone. Once a person can accept and venture the astral realms with ease that fear becomes a balanced love and acceptance. Since we are used to the physical visual realm until we adjust the astral realm is quite overwhelming.
Permalink Reply by TheKundalini.Org on October 16, 2012 at 10:14pm That's a good idea and approach. I walk around with my head in the astral kingdom full time lol, so what happens then...I do my best but sometimes it comes the opposite way for me.
Permalink Reply by cheshirecat on October 17, 2012 at 6:18am after reading the comments here not just by yourself but the others who have taken time to comment, im now beggining to question my very limited knowledge (or what i believed to be knowledge) of astral projection/travel. as it is i frequently use psychedelics for out of body experiences and to enter space like realms in order to sift through my mind and aquire peace and clarity!!
am i correct or completely mis-educated as to what "astral traveling is???
Permalink Reply by cheshirecat on October 17, 2012 at 6:19am as what i have just described i believe or believed to be astral projection
Permalink Reply by Nancy L on October 17, 2012 at 9:59am Yes that is correct its Astral Projection and it is real. It can be done while your body is awake in a meditative or hypnotic state, even while your sleeping. Most people astral travel 2-3x or more a week and don't even know it. In your dreams that you can remember do you ever fly? Or been to a beautiful place that you never been before? Our spirits take temporary breaks from our bodies during sleep and we visit other dimensions, different places even the other side.
Permalink Reply by cheshirecat on October 18, 2012 at 3:19am ive never flown in my dreams before no, but i have been able to jump great distances with almost a gliding essence. one thing that does occur frequently and has done for a number of years is the struggle to move and imposability to run which results in me pulling myself along using kerbs, lamposts, window-sills, etc.......even road markings some times, but once i seem to ajust to this motion technique i begin to travel at imense speeds!!!!
another reoccuring dream i used to have of a child was were everything in my dream me my surroundings the lot would be moving extremely slow then all of a suddon it would change and things would become extremely fast. these dreams used to terrify me by the way!
........strangley though now im an adult (26 by the way) i never have those dreams anymore but i do have bi-polar, something i find uncany its asif sub-consously i always new i would develop the condition
